English Language Schools Association football competition.

ELSA was set up in 1998 by English language teachers from colleges in and around the Sydney area solely for the purpose of giving their students a chance to play football. Each Friday afternoon throughout the Australian winter season, these English College teams take part in an organized competition at Queens Park, Bondi Junction for the ELSA perpetual cup and a knockout cup.

For us at ELSA, the over-riding element is that we believe that students from many and varied nationalities can come together as a team bonded by their love of the world game, mutual respect and friendship for each other, and play good football.

As we share this love of football, we aim to provide the opportunity for our students to experience this bond and involve them in the chance to be a part of something that they will remember long after their study period in Sydney has ended.
