One year in; one cup won; one-upmanship gained.

It was a jubilant Greenwich College that took to the stage at the ELSA end of season function to sing \'We are the Champions\' and hold the ELSA Cup aloft to the cheers of faithful who had given their time and effort into creating and supporting a team of talent and true grit. Greenwich didn\'t know much about ELSA a year ago but the commitment to each other and the sense of competition saw the boys in red take the more favoured opposition by the scruff of the neck and shake loose their pretensions and subsequently the Championship from their grasp. Full credit must be given to the supporters and administration for genuinely getting fully behind the team and its endeavours to make a fist of its attempts to hold its own in the tough league that is the ELSA football competition. Greenwich has now established itself as a force to be reckoned with in ELSA and throws down the gauntlet to the other teams.
