ELSA Football Competition from 2000 to 2008 Go to 1994 - 1999
2000 to the Present
For the last 8 years the ELSA Football Competition has virtually taken care of itself although a number of significant milestones have been passed:
2003 Aspect, the first college to win the double.
2004/05 Milton do the double two years running.
2006 ELSA starts employing professional referees. The 'Friendly Cup', an extra knockout, played during the season, won by GCA.
2007 GCA introduces scholarships to attract players and raise the standard of play, wins the Cup accordingly. In that same year SELC wins the Knockout, its first piece of silverware in its lengthy, uninterrupted history of Friday arvo football.
2008 The year's major addition would have to be this website, a small step into the internet, but a giant leap in terms of communicating what we do on a Friday to students worldwide.

Throughout the 10 years of ELSA a number of colleges have taken part in the comp but always the solid foundation of four or five colleges participating year after year have kept the comp solid and on an even keel. The commitment of the team coaches to their students and the competition cannot be overstated and are surely the backbone of ELSA.
