ABILITY: Team of the moment
by ELSA NEWS
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

At this stage, GCA still tops the table but if you give a closer look at the statistics you will find that the leaders are not the team to beat anymore.

Well, on the current form ladder ABILITY leads the lot with 3 wins out of their last 3 games and a +16 goal difference. Justin Lepani’s boys really deserve this first spot if we take into account that they never stop trying despite some unfair results at the beginning of the season. Their narrow loss (1-0) to GCA in the first leg and their 15 – 0 (10 nil registered) thrashing of SELC last week prove that they definitely belong to the elite of this competition. To top it all, the green and gold are the new leaders in the best attack contest with 41 goals scored so far. So beware of Justin’s army as they march on to make this season their best ever.

Mention should also go to Mark Isaac’s boys “The KAPLANS” who are just behind GCA in terms of current form with 2 wins and a couple narrow losses to ACE and GCA.

For the best attack contest, as said earlier, ABILITY runs the show with 41 goals, followed by GCA 40 and GEOS 35. Lest we forget that GEOS are the title holders in this challenge as they finished last season with 53 goals for. After a first leg where they showed some inconsistency, GEOS look like they are out of turbulence, ready to go for some silverware after reviving the title race with a 2-0 win on the leaders.

When it comes to best defence, it’s the same story as the past 3 years; GCA’s defence is as solid as a rock with 5 goals against and their closest rival are GEOS with 24.

There are still 4 more rounds to be played and after last week’s upset, anything can happen. Meanwhile, if you would like to know more about each team’s current form and the standings for the best attack and best defence contests, visit the stats page by clicking here .
