Looking great in black and white, the UNSW Global team is back again on the ELSA field, ready to kick some goals. Ranging from highly competitive – to ‘just loving the game’, our ‘fired up’ students are ready to ignite the field. All the students want to be better than David Beckham and fight to wear the shirt with their favourite player’s number.
Aged from 18 to 29, students originate from many countries, such as Mexico, China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Italy, and Brazil and all share a common love for soccer. Students make new friends, practice English, and learn the rules about soccer and working together as a cohesive group.
Jasper, who coaches the team once a week says, “Our team is committed and willing to train hard and although our first game wasn’t a ‘win’, this is just the beginning for us! Get ready to be surprised by a team with lots of potential!” |
